This was the first blossom themed painting of the season! I already had in my mind that I wanted to paint the blossom this spring, this upper most vertical branch in the orchard had flowers in full bloom. Sunlight was brief on this day but it stayed long enough for me to sculpt the blossom by painting in its shadow shapes.
