The mood of a scene can shift and turn within moments, sparking new inspiration and transforming familiar views into a fresh challenge. I love studying the behaviour of light and colour over the sea as it alters throughout the seasons, I'm always working to capture those fleeting moments...

Though the sea beckons me the loudest, it is nice to paint a subject that doesn't have the added time pressure of a quickly changing tide! The landscape and flora offer a slightly more restful subject to tackle, though floral displays are brief and the light continues to shift...
